According to information published by the newspaper State of Minas, the Procon of Uberlândia, a city located in the Minas Gerais triangle, prohibited the sale of Uber Ubá branded coffee in the city.
In its recommendation, Procon notified the Uberlândia merchants that the products marketed Commerce of Coffee Uberaba EIRELI and Reyna Produtos Alimentícios LTDA must be removed from the shelves.

Also according to the EM, the Procon of Uberlândia was notified by the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG), which, in turn, was informed about an inspection carried out in the factories of the mentioned companies.
In the document attesting to the inspection, there are warnings that the coffee sold by the Uber Ubá brand contains impurities above what is allowed. Among these impurities are remains of wood, earth and others, in addition to some specific toxins.
The Uberlândia Procon also recommends that consumers who have already purchased this coffee do not consume the product, as it can be harmful to health.
Uber Ubá factory banned
In addition to the marketing ban, Uber Ubá also suffered other sanctions because of the alleged poor quality of the coffee it sells.
Also activated by the Minas Gerais Public Prosecutor's Office and by the municipal Procon, the Health Surveillance of Uberlândia went to the company's factory, noting, in addition to the poor quality of the coffee, the lack of hygiene conditions minimal.
As a result, Uber Ubá also had its factory banned to comply with health standards and improve the quality of the products sold.
In the notification sent to traders in Uberlândia, Procon requested the presentation of purchase invoices for Uber Ubá coffee issued between 1 from January 2022 to May 12, 2023, in addition to an updated survey of the amount of branded coffee still remaining in stocks and on shelves.
