Millionaire inclusion of families in the Brazil Aid
With the aim of eliminating the queue for inclusion in the Federal Government's social assistance program, the Ministry da Cidadania is launching changes to the project to be able to include more families in the aid distribution plan Brazil. For this reason, we have listed below all information disclosed regarding these modifications:
What is the purpose of the expansion?
The government intends to distribute the benefit to 21.6 million Brazilians by the end of 2022. To this end, a Provisional Measure was sanctioned to release an extraordinary credit of R$26 billion, which would be enough to ensure that this number of people enrolled in the program receive the benefit until the last day of the year.
What does Esteves Colnago say?
Esteves Colnago, special secretary of the Treasury and Budget of the Ministry of Economy, stated in a press conference: “We are foreseeing, in the LOA, the payment of the Auxílio Brasil of R$ 405, that's more or less R$ 105 billion for this program, and according to simulations we received from the Ministry of Citizenship, in December we will reach 21.6 million families”.
How will this be done?
To reach the mark of 21.6 million Brazilians benefited, it will be necessary to include 3,499,513 families. Most of them were already included in the program in August and will also be inserted throughout September. Another 1,450,000 will be evaluated and included in the coming months.
