Elize Matsunaga has been out of prison since May 2022. Convicted of murdering her then husband, Marcos Matsunaga, heir to Yoki Alimentos, she went on to serve probation. And, like most people in this situation, she has found a new profession and is trying to get on with her life.
The information was released by journalist Ulisses Campbell, author of a biography from Elize. Matsunaga's new venture caused controversy on social networks and the inmates were divided between being in favor of or against the new steps in the life of the inmate.

Elize Matsunaga's New Profession
According to Campbell, Elize Matsunaga now works as an app driver in the city of Franca, about 400 km from São Paulo. And it has a rating of 4.80 on the platform – the maximum is 5.
She drives a silver Honda Fit and tries not to be identified by passengers. Therefore, she uses her maiden name on the platforms: Araújo Giacomini.
On social networks, many commented on the news with derision or indignation. “I'm going to give the cat five stars,” commented one. "That's reason to jump out of the moving car," wrote another.
However, there were those who defended Matsunaga. "PI mean get one Uber with the Elize than with a male driver. And I'm not even kidding, "said an internet user. “The name of this is resocialization. She has already paid what she owed to Justice and is now working decently to support herself. Life goes on”, underlined another.
It is worth remembering that Elize has already served 10 of the 16 years of her sentence. She left the Tremembé Women's Penitentiary – where Suzane Von Richthofen was also staying – at the end of May last year. However, before that, Justice authorized the detainee to serve the remainder of her sentence in a semi-open regime.
Speaking of her…
Elize is not the only former prisoner in Tremembé who is seeking rehabilitation. Suzane Von Richthofen was released on January 11. To rebuild her life outside the bars, she opened an online craft store, the Su Entre Linhas.
Social networks are the main form of promotion for Suzane, until then. An Instagram profile advertises the products, which range from cutlery holders to decorated slippers. According to information on the page, a woman named Josiely “supervises” the content and movement.
The venture also became an agenda on social networks, especially with comments in a mocking tone. “There will be a promotion on Mother's and Father's Day” and variations of this same phrase are the ones that are most read
However, the São Paulo Court of Justice said it looked favorably on Suzane's undertaking. According to them, she is just seeking her resocialization.
