It is not news that the price of gas of kitchen is at the heights across the country, having increased by 23.2% in the last 12 months, between March 2021 and March 2022. In this way, it became unsustainable to maintain some practices in the kitchen, such as, for example, preparing foods that require a long cooking time.
Due to the increase in the price of cylinders, some families started to use a wood oven and others an electric oven. Finally, the portion of Vale Gas in the state of São Paulo was readjusted to R$110 and will cover more than 426 thousand families that have and need the benefit. How the benefit works
Vale Gás was created with the aim of assisting low-income families in acquiring the item for the proper and safe preparation of their food. In view of the considerable increase in the price of this product in recent years, the aid in question has become of paramount importance for countless families.
Previously, the value provided by the benefit was 100 reais. However, as the value of the program is calculated based on the average price of the cylinders, it had to be recalculated due to the current value of the gas.
In view of this, the need for a 10% readjustment was identified, causing the benefit to be 110 reais, with the new value coming into effect in the June installment.
How to qualify for the benefit
The Government of the State of São Paulo determines that, in order for families to have access to the benefit, they must be registered in the CadÚnico. In addition, other requirements also need to be met: to be part of Vale Gás, beneficiaries are not allowed to receive any benefit from Auxílio Brasil; in addition, the per capita family income must be less than R$178.
Once registered in CadÚnico, the selection will occur automatically for those eligible for the benefit. To confirm your approval, check through theGovernment of São Paulo website, or call 0800 797 9800 for more information.
