Gol and Uber sign a partnership to offer a delivery and parcel service

The cargo and logistics division of GOL Linhas Aéreas, GOLLOG, entered into a partnership with Uber. The partnership works in order to collect deliveries and prepare orders.

Initially, the service is available in the cities of São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Novo Hamburgo, in Rio Grande do Sul. In the coming weeks, the service should be made available throughout the national territory.

According to the company, the objective of this partnership is to connect all regions of Brazil. Like this, customers will be able to ship their orders without having to leave their homes.

Those interested in contracting GOLLOG's service should contact the company. In this way, they will be able to enjoy the collections and deliveries carried out by Uber. Contact can be made directly with a company store, where collection will be requested. All details are also available on the website:https://www.gollog.com.br/.

Currently, GOLLOG serves 4,100 cities in Brazil and another 12 in foreign countries. In total, the network has 98 franchised units.

According to the Press Office, health, clothing and the automotive industry are the main segments that use its services. These areas correspond to most of the 89 thousand tons transported per year.

In 2019 alone, GOL's logistics arm transported more than 80 thousand tons. More than 112,000 customers were serviced (66,000 of which were new customers, or 59% growth). In total, the company's portfolio already adds up to 2.4 million services performed.

Expanding delivery network

The news comes to reinforce the recent trend of decentralization of delivery services in the country. If before the Post Office was practically the only option, today customers and merchants have more opportunities.

Mercado Livre itself has been offering deliveries through its own network for some time. For some locations, orders ship almost immediately.

In addition, Amazon is another company that has been investing in this area in Brazilian territory.

With the partnership between Gol and Uber, logistics and transport services gain a new option.
