Understand when the 2021 PIS/Pasep salary bonus will be released
Allowance payments are made in the year following the period of employment. Thus, those who worked in 2010 were paid in 2011, and so on. However, to save money during the pandemic, the federal government has postponed refunds for 2021.
With that, those who formally worked last year will only be entitled to the benefit in 2023, until December. In addition, it is necessary to consider that the federal government must have a budget that allows it to accommodate an expenditure of almost R$ 21 billion.
Who is entitled to the PIS/Pasep base year 2021 salary bonus?
In order to have access to the benefits of the PIS/Pasep wage bonus, the worker must meet some specific criteria. If this is the case, it is possible to receive up to a minimum wage. Some of the requirements involve having at least 30 days of work with a formal contract in 2021, being enrolled in the PIS/Pasep for at least 5 years, that is, from 2017, and, on average, having received up to two monthly minimum wages in 2021.
In addition, the worker must also have all data updated and correctly informed by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (RAIS)/eSocial. By meeting all these criteria, the employee will be able to receive the amount of the salary bonus when it is released by the government through the competent institutions.
