6-hour journey in search of prom dress ends in emotional surprise

High school is a very special time in the life of any teenager, as it is a period of change, new experiences and many discoveries.

To mark the end of the cycle, the promotion of a prom is quite common in some cultures, mainly in the American one. In this practice, students tend to take care of their looks to end the year on a high note. But not always finding the best outfit is an easy task.

A teenager's journey in search of her dress

For many girls, finding the perfect prom dress can be a daunting task. This was even the obstacle faced by the 18-year-old teenager Elyse Monroe, in what seemed to be an impossible mission.

Elyse couldn't find dresses for her size, and that was proving to be a huge hassle for her. Until, through TikTok, she found a store that sold Plus Size models and decided to go there.

The teenager was very excited for the ball and wanted to wear her best outfit, and for that, she had to go far. Inhabitant of the city of Manteo (North Carolina), Elyse had to travel for a long 6 hours to Charlotte, also in the state of North Carolina, to find the perfect dress.

Elyse did not count on the pleasant surprise that lay ahead.

Upon arriving in Charlotte, Elysa went to the clothing boutique Juicy Body Goddess, owned by Summer Lucille. In fact, Lucille decided to open the store because she also suffered from clothing size problems in the past, working with an inspiration.

While trying on the dresses, Elyse received several compliments, as all the models matched her very well. However, one in particular caught a lot of attention, a purple dress with glitter that enchanted everyone. However, the price of the dress was a little expensive, costing US$ 700 (about 3700 reais), which left Elyse downcast.

But what came next would completely change the teenager's face. With a noble and touching gesture, Lucille, the owner of the store, decided to give Elyse the dress as a gift.
