A toddler is winning over TikTok users after asking his grandpa a very important question. Due to the death of her father, the little girl invited her grandfather to do the honors and replace him as her date at the father-daughter ball.
The girl's father died on January 19, 2019. At the time, the little girl, named Austyn, was just one year old. In a video viewed more than 2 million times on TikTok, the little girl asks her grandfather to attend a father-daughter dance that her mother's local gym was organizing.

Grandpa accepts the girl's invitation and pulls his granddaughter into a hug. “I would love to, Austyn! That would be the best!” he says. Woolverton shares that she never wants her daughter to miss important moments because her father is gone.
“It breaks my heart that as my journey gets easier, hers gets harder,” the mother wrote in the text overlay
video. “Thank God we have grandpa. The best man I ever knew and your best friend!”Several users commented and reacted to the video.

Woolverton said she was overwhelmed by the support.
“A lot of people have reached out to me with similar situations and thanked me for just normalizing this and making people aware that these father-daughter dances are great,” she told Good Morning America. "I don't want to take this away for people who have parents because I loved it growing up, but just to make it clear that we shouldn't let people who don't have parents go or be left out."
