Night blindness was caused by a lack of vitamin A

Because she couldn't see perfectly at night due to low lighting, the young woman was diagnosed with night blindness. In addition, the young woman's own eyeball was compromised, with what looked like pieces of material floating in the young woman's vision.

After the consultation, already with the medical diagnosis, the young woman started the medication. It's been more than 1 year and 6 months, without any positive result or improvement in the girl's vision.

However, after that time, doctors discovered that the condition responsible for the young woman's blindness was vitamin A deficiency. That's because, lack of vitamin A causes dry eyes and night blindness, as night vision needs vitamin A to work perfectly.

Tomography helps in the result

Due to the persistence of symptoms, the woman underwent a CT scan, which showed no signs of glaucoma and pointed out symptoms similar to vitamin A deficiency in the body. Just 11 days after starting the medication, the Haitian's eyesight improved.

After introducing frequent vitamin A supplementation over five months, the 34-year-old woman's vision was entirely regenerated.

Thus, to prevent this type of situation from happening, it is good to be aware of foods rich in vitamin A. Fish, liver, carrots, spinach, kale, sweet potatoes, broccoli, mangoes, squash and dairy products are some of them.
