New security scheme
According to TikTok, a new strategy is available on the platform to stop the flood of misinformation or dangerous videos. In this case, a single session was included to address cases of videos about internet hoaxes and challenges. This sector is available in the app's Security Center, and already has all the information in Portuguese.
As a result, with each new survey that includes results with dangerous challenges, or fake news, there will be information about the risks of the respective practices. In addition, users will automatically be redirected to another screen, so that information will be retained. In addition, the social network continues with an initiative to block all content that does not follow its guidelines, which already prevents the circulation of many videos with dangerous content.
A social media problem
This TikTok initiative is not an isolated case of seeking rigidity in conduct guidelines and content circulating on networks. In fact, other social networks such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter are already working with similar measures.
For example, you can find verification of data and information on virtually every network social issues, especially in cases of sensitive issues, such as those involving vaccines, politics and data officers.
