Thus, the government stipulated a 10-year strategy to economically move the regions and build sustainable communities that can develop and prosper over the years.
One of the available islands is the Isle of Arranmore, a region with 45-meter cliffs and beautiful landscapes. The site is on the Wild Atlantic Route, off the coast of County Donegal.

Understand Ireland's 'Our Living Islands' project
The Irish Minister Heather Humphreys highlighted, in interviews about the new proposal, that the central idea of the project is improve the quality of life on the islands, bringing infrastructure, improvements in housing and essential services, such as health and education.
In another part of the statement, she talks about the importance of investing in populationyoung and in sustainability:
“We will see islands contributing to and benefiting from the transition to a low-carbon economy and a climate-neutral society. We will see our island communities, and especially young people, playing an active role in shaping the future of their own islands,” he said.
According to forbes, the new residents will need to buy a residence on one of the islands. Also, the new home can only be purchased if it has been on the market for at least two years.
The financial support of R$ 400,000 offered by the government will be used to revitalize the property, guaranteeing renovations and improvements in the structure.
Another important point is that owning property on the island does not guarantee rights to take up residence in Ireland. But it can facilitate, for example, the work visa processes and citizenship.
