Different from what many believe, not all people should declare income tax. Find out below some rules of who needs to make the payment.
- Have annual taxable income above BRL 28,559.70 or BRL 2,380.00 per month;
- Perform some type of operation on the stock exchange;
- On December 31, 2022, have owned assets or rights in excess of BRL 300,000;
- Possess capital through sales of goods or rights subject to the payment of Income Tax;
- Receiving income that is exempt, non-taxable or taxed exclusively at source in excess of BRL 40,000, includes FGTS, unemployment insurance, donations, inheritances and PLR;
- Have income related to rural activity above R$ 142,798.50.
However, while there are millions of people who will be included in the above rules, there are also some rules for those who will be exempt from the payment. See below:
- Monthly income less than BRL 1,903.98;
- Have retirement as a single income and be over 65 years old;
- Possess any of the illnesses listed in the Income Tax exemption;
- For Brazilians declared as dependents of other taxpayers.
