An unprecedented fact should occur this year: it will be the first time that a Royal mansion to be auctioned in the metaverse. The decision to commercialize the virtual residence came from a cooperation between the real estate company One Sotheby’s International Realty, architecture firm Voxel Architects and NFT collector and contractor Gabe Sierra.

In this sense, such institutions are developing the first “MetaReal” mansion. The project encompasses both the physical and virtual worlds, having two versions of the house, one for each reality.
Therefore, whoever acquires the virtual property will also hold the property rights of the real residence. In addition, the conclusion of the construction of the property, located in Miami, is scheduled for the end of 2022.
The first real mansion in the metaverse
MetaReal is being built on a plot of about 4,000 square meters. In addition, the address of the house will be an upscale neighborhood in Miami.
In addition, the property, which will have a thousand square meters, will have seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The virtual project, which Voxel Architects is in charge of creating, will have the same structure, in order to guarantee that the residence is equal in both dimensions.
“The virtual version of the home in the metaverse will serve as an extension of the real-world property, allowing the buyer to hosting meetings, events and house parties with guests from around the world,” says Meta Residence Founder Gabe Sierra.

Upon completion, the “MetaReal” mansion will be auctioned at an event scheduled later this year, in a session led by sales agent Michael Martinez of One Sotheby’s. The transaction is planned to be done on the Ethereum blockchain. However, an initial value for bids has not yet been established.
“By mimicking the owner's real-world environment, we've created an experience that blurs the lines between the metaverse and reality. Think with me, imagine fighting a dragon, crossing a mountain range and finally reaching your property in the metaverse, where you will be greeted by your companions to check out your new Bored Ape NFT. After interacting in your virtual living room, you leave the metaverse and sit on the couch in the same house, only in the real world,” said Sierra.
