healthy homemade banana chips

Did you know that bananas are rich in fiber and minerals like potassium, which help control blood pressure? In addition, this fruit also has important nutrients such as thiamin, niacin and folate. Therefore, these banana chips are perfect as a snack for both children and adults.

Ingredients

  • 2 green earth bananas;
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder;
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil;
  • Salt to taste.

Method of preparation

  1. First of all, cut the bananas into very thin slices. Then spread them on a previously greased baking sheet with olive oil;
  2. Done that, take the roast to the preheated oven at 180°C and leave it for about 10 minutes;
  3. After that time, carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and turn the bananas with the help of a spatula, then take the baking sheet back to the oven for another 10 minutes;
  4. Finally, line a container with paper towels and place the bananas to cool and dry, sprinkle with saffron and salt to taste.

sweet version

You can also make banana chips in a sweet version. In that case, use coconut oil instead of olive oil to grease the baking dish and, instead of salt and saffron, put powdered cinnamon and/or sugar.

How to preserve banana chips?

If you want to store the chips, you should use a container with a lid and a good seal to prevent them from becoming soft and losing their crunchy texture. However, it's common for them to wither a little anyway.

consumption suggestions

Anyway, you can prepare different versions of these recipes depending on the spices you have at home. Furthermore, you can consume these snacks plain, but you can also break up the banana chips and place them together with granola, yogurt or on top of other fruits, according to your preference.
