hot philadelphia recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of Nori seaweed;
  • 3 spoons (soup) of rice already cooked, preferably of the Japanese type;
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese;
  • 30 grams of skinless salmon fillet;
  • 4 tablespoons wheat flour;
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) shallow breadcrumbs;
  • ¼ cup (tea) of ice water;
  • 1 cup (tea) of water with 1 spoon (dessert) of vinegar;
  • 1 bamboo mat for temakis;
  • Soy oil for frying.

Method of preparation:

Now that you have all the ingredients properly separated, let's start the process. To do this, wash your hands well and then moisten them with vinegar water. This step needs to be repeated throughout the preparation, to ensure proper handling of food.

Soon after, also moisten the seaweed in water with vinegar and unroll it on the bamboo mat. Now, we're going to work with the layering idea, so layer a layer of rice on top of the seaweed, but make sure there's a clear space on the sides that only contains seaweed. Then, cut the salmon into 1.5 cm portions and place it horizontally in the center of the layer of rice.

Then spread the cream cheese next to the salmon on both sides in a generous layer. Finally, use the bamboo mat to help you roll the salmon and rub a little water with vinegar on the tip of the seaweed to stick the roll together.

In another bowl, add the wheat flour, breadcrumbs and ice water just enough to make a consistent paste. Now, cut the pieces of your hot Philadelphia and dip them in that batter before frying them in very hot oil. And this delight is ready!
