What Alexa said shocked the internet

Adam Chamberlain, 45, was having fun with his children. The game was to ask questions for his assistant, Alexa, to answer. The initial objective was to observe the funny way she had when solving things. Everyone just wanted to laugh about it, but he ended up going viral on the internet when he posted a video in which she answered his question on how to “make my children stop laughing”. Why? Look.

The answer

Shocking everyone, Alexa responded, “According to an Alexa Answers contributor, if appropriate, you can punch them in the throat. If they are writhing in pain and unable to breathe, they are less likely to laugh.”

Unlike what everyone started to think, our “dear robot” that plays music and updates us on the news has not become a villain. To justify what happened, the “Alexa Answers” platform allows the system to receive answers from users for questions it would not know how to answer, as its database is limited.

The justification was not enough to prevent the increase in views and likes on Adam's TikTok platform. With that, the video has accumulated over 215,000 views and over 21,000 likes. Many found the brutal response hilarious.

amazon resolution

The problem has since been resolved, however. An Amazon spokesperson said the response was removed in September as soon as they became aware of the incident. The good news for some is that for uncommon questions, the Alexa Answers feature still allows customers to suggest answers.
