The resumption of the Ministry of Education in works and investments
It is essential to highlight that the Ministry of Education announced that it will move forward with stalled works and make greater investments in universities and federal institutes.
This year, R$ 23 billion will be used to complete the halted works, which total around 4,000, and to raise scientific initiation scholarships.
In addition, together with the Federal Government, the ministry intends to readjust the values of resources offered to students, such as lunch fees, permanence and initiation scholarships scientific.
This moment of new investments brings nuances that, in the last four years of the past federal administration, there were not enough investments.
Readjustments of school lunches and research grants
The values of school lunches are still R$ 0.36 per elementary and high school student; R$ 1.07 for students and children enrolled in day care centers and full-time education; R$0.53 for pre-school students; BRL 0.64 for indigenous and quilombola schools and BRL 0.32 for youth and adult education students.
Now, with the readjustment, these amounts will increase, as reported by the responsible ministers. In addition, the government will increase the values of research grants from 25% to 200%, increasing the availability of grants and greater resources for carrying out research.
High School Scientific Initiation Scholarships will also be readjusted, so that there is a greater production of research. Basic education teachers will also receive increases in their training grants.
Quilombolas and indigenous people will have their permanence grants adjusted so that they can stay in university.
