photo picker

With the new update, users will be able to restrict app access to only certain photos in the gallery instead of sharing all internal media. With that, the new options are:

  • Select specific photos and videos: choose the specific media you want to make available to the app;
  • Allow All: Provide full access to mobile media to the app;
  • Disallow: No photos or videos are shared with the app.

print notice

This functionality allows applications to notify when they detect a print. The feature works with the Android Screenshots API allowing the app to notify you when a screenshot is registered.

Change in notifications

This functionality will improve the quality of life for the user who is bothered by unnecessary persistent warnings. However, these notifications will still behave differently: they will not be deleted when selecting the “Dismiss all” button or without unlocking the device.

preferences by region

In Android 14, you will be able to set preferences for units of measure, date and time format, and numbers based on region. Applications will be able to refer to these choices to adjust their data display automatically.

Improvements to app stores

In this new update, third-party app stores (anyone other than the play store) install program updates on your phone. This improvement removes the dependency on the Google ecosystem to do basic functions like delivering automatic updates.

Android has an intuitive and highly customizable user interface, with millions of apps available on the Google Play Store. It offers advanced features such as voice assistants, gesture recognition, gesture navigation, multiple user accounts and data encryption.
