If you are thinking about entering higher education in 2023, you should be aware of the deadlines stipulated by the Ministry of Education (MEC). This Monday, the 28th, the folder released the registration calendar for the three of its main programs: Unified Selection System (Sisu), University for All Program (Prouni) and Student Financing Fund (Faith). Registration for Sisu 2023
The program “replaces” the traditional entrance exam at public universities and uses the Enem score to classify students within the vacancies offered in each undergraduate course. Some private institutions also use it as a form of admission.
Sisu registrations run from February 28 to March 3. Results come out on March 7th.
Registration for Prouni 2023
Prouni grants partial or full scholarships – which can cover up to 50% of tuition fees – at private universities. To participate, the student must meet certain requirements: having studied in a public school and having a per capita gross monthly income of up to three minimum wages (approximately R$ 3,636 per person).
Registration for Prouni 2023 will run from March 7th to 10th. The results of the first call will be released on March 14th and those of the second call, on the 28th of the same month.
Registration for Fies 2023
O faithful is a funding program of the Ministry of Education. It grants a student loan so that he can pursue his degree at private universities. After graduating, students return the value in installments to financial agents.
Registration for Fies 2023 runs from March 14th to 17th and the result will be announced on the 21st of the same month.
Both Prouni and Fies and Sisu use the note of the National High School Examination (Enem). So, before you apply, make sure your test score is still valid. The final result of the four tests and the essay will be announced on February 18th. Put it on the agenda!
