“You are able to do with what you have today. […] I made a YouTube channel because I didn't have the money to make a website. I only had a wooden spoon to focus the camera. Today I know that the more effort we make, the more impact it generates.”
GKay
Born in the interior of Paraíba, Gessica Kayane is an influencer who creates humorous content for Youtube. She is in charge of the “Farofa da Gkay” project, an annual entertainment event that brings together several artists and other influencers. For GKay, you have to believe in yourself.
“Don't be afraid to show who you are. The internet has room for everyone. Be you.[…] Anyone who wants to undertake needs to start with what they have. In the beginning, I went to 25 stores to borrow clothes so I could go to events. In return, I would promote these brands on my social networks.”
Adriana Barbosa

She was awarded the Zumbi dos Palmares Trophy and received an honorable award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Don't let fear paralyze you. If you're scared, go scared. We are humans, not robots. […] When I started I was very afraid, but I never let my fear paralyze me. You have to bet on diversity, get closer to the public.”
