Climatempo meteorologists are monitoring a strong mass of cold air approaching Brazil. According to forecasts, it will make temperatures plummet in most parts of the country.
There is a forecast of frost in high areas of the three states of the Southern Region, in addition to a strong cooling in São Paulo, in the center-south of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, in the Triângulo Mineiro, in Mato Grosso do Sul, in the extreme south of Goiás and in the extreme south/southwest of Mato Grosso Thick.

Still according to Climatempo's forecast, from the 22nd of May the mass of cold air will begin to park Rio Grande do Sul, with the rest of the country still feeling the cold within the next month.
The intensity and scope of the cold front cannot yet be precisely predicted, however, it is already knows that it will be able to “fast forward” this year's winter, which was expected to start only in June.
This cold front will mark the transition from summer to autumn, promoting a change in the characteristics of the atmosphere and resulting in a drier and colder pattern.
Before that, a new mass of polar air will pass over the coast of São Paulo between May 14th and 15th, but without enough strength to cool the continent.
Meteorologists are keeping an eye on the situation and should provide updates in the coming days. Experts also say that the population should prepare for a prolonged cooling that could extend to areas in the interior of Brazil.
