Have you heard of Ookla? This is a service that measures your internet speed on your cell phone. From this measurement, Ookla recently released a report listing the fastest smartphones in the world when it comes to 5g internet.
“We used Speedtest Intelligence to analyze you performance data 5G in the top 10 countries with the most connected mobile devices according to the GSMA that also had oneMarketplace5G established during the third quarter of 2022”, states the company in its report.

To assemble this list, Ookla analyzed the most popular cell phones in certain countries. For the device to be analyzed by the service, it needs to have a share in the technology market greater than or equal to 0.5% among all devices, in addition to having a sample size Minimum.

- Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max:
This device is one of the fastest in countries like South Africa, Germany, Brazil, UK and Vietnam.
- Moto G 5G:
This Motorola smartphone has an average download speed of 358.39 Mbps and was considered one of the fastest smartphones in Brazil.
- Poco X4 Pro 5G:
Its average download speed is 355.43 Mbps. Poco is a sub-brand of Xioami and was considered one of the fastest devices in Brazil.
- Apple iPhone 13:
After its Pro Max version is already on the list, now it's the turn of the regular version of the iPhone 13 to debut on the list. This device was released in 2021 by Apple and has an average download speed of 344.4 Mpbs. This iPhone was considered one of the fastest 5G devices in Brazil and Vietnam.
- OnePlus 9 5G:
The OnePlus 9 was considered one of the fastest 5G smartphones in Germany and China, where its average download speed is 349.15 Mbps.
- Huawei P40 5G:
Even though it has not been well accepted in other countries, the Chinese brand guarantees great results in its country of origin. Its average 5G download speed is 344.41 Mbps.
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max:
The last cell phone launched by Apple so far, it is considered one of the fastest devices in five countries: Germany, United States, Japan, United Kingdom and Thailand.
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra:
It is considered as the launch of the year 2022 of the Samsung brand, the device achieved good results in three countries, namely, South Africa, the United States and Vietnam.
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro:
After the Pro Max version, it's time for the Pro version to debut on this list. The device achieved good results in four countries, being considered one of the fastest in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and Thailand.
- Huawei Mate 30 5G:
Another one from the Chinese brand, this device has an average download speed of 344.23 Mbps. It was considered one of the fastest 5G smartphones in China.
- Sony Xperia 1 ii 5G:
This is the first Sony device to make the list. The smartphone was considered one of the fastest in Japan.
- Samsung Galaxy S20 5G:
This device has an average download speed of 189.22 Mbps and was considered one of the fastest in Japan.
- Huawei Nova 7 5G:
This device performed well in the Philippines, being considered one of the fastest in the country.
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G:
This is the only device from the Xiaomi brand that is present in this list. It was considered one of the fastest in the Philippines, equal to the Huawei Nova 7 5G.
- Apple iPhone 13 Mini:
Despite being discontinued by Apple, the device performed well in some countries, such as South Africa, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
- Sony Xperia 1 iii 5G:
Sony gets good results in Japan, this 5G device was considered one of the fastest in the Asian country.
