This year, only social organizations and Secretariats will be able to request copies with a maximum deadline of September 2, at 6 pm, by filling out a form. Another important piece of information about delivery is that socially vulnerable locations will be prioritized, based on indicators such as the Ideb, Gini index and others. You can check the expected profile and list of priority cities on the project's website.
The works selected for this edition are “From step to step: a book to dream and dance” and “The fishery of the curumim and other indigenous poems”. In addition, 14 digital titles and 22 audiovisual works with accessibility, from previous years, will be offered to children with special needs. The files can be downloaded in PDF by accessing the
project digital bookshelf. The project's main objective is to encourage reading and adult interaction in the child's school and affective life, with works that promote social integration and the appreciation of differences.
“And, in the face of the challenges imposed by the worsening of inequalities, we reaffirm our commitment to equity. We directed the campaign's efforts to promote and democratize access to quality literary reading for families and children in situations of greater socioeconomic vulnerability. Our intention is for more children to expand their cultural repertoire using imagination and creativity, thus enriching and expanding their experiences with others and with themselves” says Angela Dannemann, CEO of Itau Social.
