Briefly, the film tells the story of Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a Chinese immigrant who is on the brink of failure with her laundry and her marriage. So, in order not to lose her assets, she needs to talk to the unpleasant IRS auditor Deirdre (Jamie Lee Curtis).
Evelyn then ends up on an adventure in which she will need to stop an evil entity from destroying the thin and countless layers of the multiverse. Also, she needs to figure out how to get back home.
