Know the fruits that don't have a lot of sugar

It is true that fruits are important to offer nutrients and minerals to maintain a balanced and healthy diet. However, what many people don't know is that each fruit contains different amounts of sugar. Therefore, to put together a diet with fewer calories, knowing the fruits with less sugar can be important.

1. Peach

Despite its incredible sweetness, an average peach only contains around 13 grams of sugar. Peaches are a good source of vitamin C and beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that can help reduce cellular damage and support overall health. This fruit is also a source of potassium, which plays an important role in the functioning of many organs in the body, as well as our nervous system.

2. Strawberry

In addition to being a good source of vitamin C and fiber, eight medium-sized strawberries only have about 8 grams of sugar. They also include a wide range of polyphenols, which our microbes convert into beneficial chemicals linked to cancer prevention and improved heart and mental health.

3. Blackberry

Blackberries are another fruit rich in beneficial chemical compounds such as anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Nutritionists explain that a cup of blackberries contains only 7 grams of sugar. They are also rich in fiber and vitamins C, E and K.

4. Avocado

Avocado is a low-sugar fruit that is rich in nutrients as well as good fats, which have been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease, blood pressure and cholesterol. In that sense, an avocado has only 1 gram of sugar.
