In the following months, Vitil was already on the front line of the war where he lived with the chance of dying in the combat. According to him, this was enough for him to reflect on what he had done with his life and what he would be leaving behind in the event of his death. It was then that he realized that he would need to secure his lineage through a son.

However, with the War, the dynamics of having a child with his wife became very complicated, so that he had to go to a clinic to freeze his sperm. In an interview, Vitail and Anna say that this was a difficult decision, as it involved preparing for a possible death. However, both opted for the guarantee of an heir.

This attitude was not unique to Vitail and Anna, on the contrary, as many Ukrainian men opted for the same procedure. This shows how little the prospects for survival and the end of the war are in the face of conflict. Thus, there has been a growth in demand for cryopreservation clinics in Ukraine.

According to information from CBS, the average price of this procedure in the country is approximately US$55, which in reais would be R$275. In addition to sperm freezing, it is also possible to freeze eggs for women who also want to ensure reproduction.
