The production is divided into two parallels that take place interspersed. One of the situations tells the fictional story of a young woman who spends too much time on the internet. More specifically, she forgoes the real world for a life on social media.
Meanwhile, the documentary features testimonials from former employees and executives of major technology companies. Some of the interviewees had or have an important role in companies such as Google, Facebook and Twitter.
As the real accounts delve deeper into the theme, the character in the story becomes even more connected. The girl begins to adhere to more extremist ideals, of a political and social nature.
