One of the most controversial names that have appeared in recent times is that of the son ofElon MuskIt is Grimes, called X Æ A-12. However, in California, non-English characters are not allowed on birth certificates, prompting the couple to change their name to X AE A-XII.

In Italy, a couple decided to name their son Venerdi, which means “Friday” in Italian. However, a judge considered that the name was associated with "subservience and inferiority" and ordered that the child's name be changed to Gregorio - and it was.
The name Adolf Hitler also caused controversy in the United States, when a couple of self-styled “nazis” had her children taken into state custody. Although the authorities claimed other reasons for the intervention, the parents disagreed and alleged discrimination.
