skillet cheese bread recipe
Ingredients
This list of ingredients will cover the preparation of a unit of skillet cheese bread, which is similar in size to a crepe. Therefore, for each unit, the same amount of ingredients will be needed, ok? Now for the full list:
- 2 eggs;
- 8 tablespoons of tapioca gum;
- 4 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese;
- 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese;
- ¼ spoon (tea) of chemical yeast;
- 1 pinch of salt;
- Mozzarella (to taste) to stuff – optional.
If you want to make this recipe even more original, you can switch from mozzarella cheese to making the filling. For example, some people like to add guava to stuffing, as well as grated coconut. In other words, it's completely up to you.
Method of preparation
Now that we have all the ingredients, let's get started. To begin with, add the egg, tapioca, cream cheese and parmesan to a bowl, then mix them all together with a fork. Then add the baking soda and mix again. When the dough is homogeneous, transfer it to a skillet, but first make sure it is non-stick and is greased with butter.
At this point, let the mixture cook until the surface is firmer. Then turn the dough over so the other side can cook too. Now, add the mozzarella or stuffing of your choice and cover the skillet. After two minutes, turn off the heat and close your cheese bread so it looks like a crepe, and you're done!
