Savory crepe with sliced bread
Ingredients
- 8 slices of crustless bread;
- 2 boiled sausages;
- 8 slices of cheddar cheese;
- 1 egg;
- 2 tablespoons of oil;
- 1/2 cup of milk;
- Salt to taste;
- 3/4 cup wheat flour;
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
- Butter for greasing.
Method of preparation
- First, get a rolling pin so you can flatten the bread slices and make them thin;
- Then boil the sausages, cut them in half and then in half lengthwise to fit right on the bread;
- Take each dented slice of bread, place a slice of cheese, the sausage piece, moisten the edges with water and roll up;
- Beat the egg, milk and salt in a processor or blender (or even in your hand if you want, but mix well) until you get a homogeneous mass;
- Then, put this mixture in a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder with a spoon or hand whisk until incorporated into the mixture;
- Place a barbecue toothpick in each rolled-up crepe, dip them in the dough and place in a greased crepe maker or sandwich maker;
- Close and remove when golden and ready to serve!
