The first step is to choose your definitive vase: this must be at least medium in size to support the roots of the rue, as this plant can reach up to 1 m in height.
Then buy a limestone substrate and make a good drainage system with stones at the bottom of the pot. Now all you have to do is make holes 0.5 cm deep and place 3 seeds per hole.
The most important thing is to keep the vase in a place that receives 6 hours of direct sunlight, this will make your rue grow healthier and faster. With about 10 days it will be possible to see your sprouts germinating.
- by cuttings
You can use branches of an already developed rue to make seedlings: for this, choose a healthy branch with up to 10cm from the foot and cut it. An extra tip is to rub a little cinnamon on the injured area, both on the mother plant and on the seedling, to prevent the appearance of diseases.
Finally, just place the branch in a vase following the same instructions as in the text above and water it a lot. In a few days you will notice the roots growing and a new rue will grow.
