First, to grow blackberries at home, you will need the following materials:

  • Medium or large vase (at least 40 cm in diameter);

  • Fertilized land (preferably the one containing humus and phosphate);
  • Sapling or cutting (about 20 to 30 cm long) of blackberry.

Separated the materials, just put your hand in the dough! Before starting to add the substrate to the vase, it is important to check if the container you are using has holes so that water can drain during irrigation. Yeah, if you don't have it, make holes of approximately 2 cm in diameter.

Now it's time to add the layer of clay (approximately 5 cm) and cover it with the draining blanket. Once the drainage layer is finished, you can then add composted soil up to about 3 cm from the edge of the pot.

If you have chosen to grow the blackberry using cuttings, you will need to scrape the lower part before planting. However, if you have chosen to cultivate through seedlings, just place the seedling in the center of the vase and add more soil, without going beyond the region between the trunk and the root of the plant. Then just compact the earth with your hands until it's uniform.
