Last Wednesday, the 12th, Iván Santell-Velázquez, known as Slay3r_root, was convicted of hacking the email accounts and social networks of his university colleagues. The young man pleaded guilty on July 13.

According to what was reported by some parts of the case, Iván was studying at the University of Puerto Rico and sent unauthorized emails to teachers, administration, and your peers, signed with your hacker nickname.

It was also reported that the young man reached a little over a hundred accounts, managing to successfully hack them. One of the practices to achieve this fact is phishing, which gave access to emails. Then he was able to log into his colleagues' Snapchat accounts. The case occurred during the years 2019 and 2021.

Most of the victims were women. Some of the hacked accounts contained nudity, so Iván shared these images on other social networks, such as Instagram and Facebook. After this fact, the exposed victims began to be harassed because of the leaked photos.

According to investigation data, about 15 women suffered from the exposure of their intimate photos.
