Green tea and the fight against abdominal and visceral fat
A study carried out by the Journal of Functional Foods used more than 100 adults and concluded, amid research carried out, that green tea is a great ally for combating visceral fat (which involves the organs) and abdominal.
For this research, 104 Chinese adults were used, who were between 20 and 65 years old, where the they should consume daily and for 12 weeks 609 mg of catechin and 68.7 mg of placebo or caffeine.
Thus, abdominal fat and body weight were measured during the 8th and 12th weeks, and through these assessments, it was found that people who drank the tea and drinks that had caffeine lost a lot of visceral fat as well as weight body.
But why is green tea slimming?
The truth is that catechin, present in green tea, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, in addition to neuroprotective effects, which help reduce cholesterol.
