It takes a lot of attention to maintain a well-kept and healthy garden, so fertilization and watering period are fundamental. However, even following all the necessary measures, we have some pests that can destroy our garden.
Among these pests we have several types of organisms such as fungi, insects and arachnids. In particular, we must pay attention to fungi, as they can attack plant species and infect an entire garden or orchard, causing great losses.

Find out below which pests to watch out for:
aphid
He is an insect that reproduces extremely quickly and is capable of easily devastating a garden. The conditions that favor them are high temperatures and little precipitation.
Aphids greatly harm the growth of plants, as they feed by sucking their sap and this slows down their development. Their presence is easy to see visually: as they suck energy from plants, they tend to become withered and lifeless.
The saliva of the aphids also releases a toxic substance that leaves the leaves deformed and some species are vectors of the cucumber mosaic virus.
mealybugs
Mealybugs are extremely inconvenient insects and live on the leaves and stems of plants. They feed on the sap and inject toxic substances that cause stains and the plant withers to death.
There are many species of mealybugs that are relatively easy to identify, because they are very visible with their clusters on top of the host species.
In addition, they can be of different sizes, shapes and colors – such as white, yellow, red and orange – and their serous appearance makes them disgusting.
They attack all plant species, but have a preference for cacti. So be extra careful if you have them.
gastropods
These are slugs, snails and snails. They inhabit places with excessive humidity and constant shade.
These bugs have a structure called radula that they use to scrape leaves, buds and stems, in addition to causing severe infestations in your garden, which can lead to the death of plants.
They are easy to identify, as they are of considerable size, and tend to appear more when the sun is low.
It is also possible to identify them by the goo they spread throughout the plant.
