Negotiation aims to reduce default
In an announcement regarding the debt installment program, Enel Brasil's Market director, Luiz Flávio Xavier, emphasizes the need for debt flexibility. Still according to Xavier, it is necessary to understand that many of the consumers have lost their jobs, therefore they have no income, and therefore need the support of the company.
Therefore, the program aims, above all, to reduce defaults in the payment of electricity bills. In this way, it will be possible to prevent the suspension of energy supply in the coming months, already with the expectation that the World Cup will greatly increase energy consumption from November.
Who can apply for installment?
Customers residing in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás and Ceará can request the negotiation of debts. In this case, those with overdue electricity bills have until the end of November to opt for installments in up to 21 installments on their credit card, without any addition of interest on the debt amount.
In addition, those with accounts overdue for more than 180 days will be able to pay the debt in up to six installments, with a discount of up to 30% on the total debt. To negotiate bills, customers should go to one of the dealership stores in their respective states, or go to Enel's website.
Furthermore, anyone who is a consumer in the state of Ceará can use the Enel Ceará application, which can be downloaded for free on iOS or Android mobile devices for trading without installments. Similarly, consumers from Goiás will also be able to use the Enel Goiás application.
