If you want to make a delicious recipe with dried okra, you are in the right place to do so. Below we will show you two very simple tips that can be done in your kitchen before preparing the meal. See below.
1. Use lemon juice
This is one of the simplest ones, because everyone has at least one lemon at home, right? So to make this trick work, just soak your okra in lemon juice mixed with water. Remember to be proportional to the amount of okra, use 1 to 2 lemons full of juice.
2. Bring to a boil in water with vinegar
This is a tip that involves putting it in the fire, but it also works very well if you want to avoid contact with the lemon. To make this option, just put the desired amount of okra in a pan with a ratio of 1L of water to 100ml of vinegar (of your preference) and let it boil.
3. But wait a minute, do you know how to choose okra?
To begin with, it's best to opt for okra that is firmer, green and also without any spots on its skin (meaning that it is very mixed). Also, younger okras tend to be smaller and have smoother skin, so be careful.
Finally, there is a trick that works very well, which consists of holding the okra in your hand and trying to break the tip with your thumb. Ideally, you should be able to break it easily this way. This way, you will get the best options for your recipe.
