In the fifth season, the last one that was shown, only three episodes were released, each with more than an hour. From then on, the program was stopped and nothing else was released.
In the four years that the work was stopped, their accounts on social networks also did not move. However, this Tuesday (25) a new post made on the official profile of the program on Twitter drove fans crazy.
Having last posted on July 14, 2019, the official Black Mirror Twitter account (@blackmirror) finally manifested itself. “What did we miss?” the post read.
Almost immediately a legion of fans started responding to the post asking if the series had returned. And, to further ignite the discussion, series creator Charlie Brooker responded to some comments with a question mark emoji.
The comments, which are already thousands, express the most diverse emotions generated in fans of the series. “Just give us something to put on the calendar,” said one fan in the comment. “Stop playing with our emotions, Black Mirror.”, asked another.
Last year, Variety magazine, which specializes in cinema, series and pop culture, stated that the sixth season of Black Mirror is being produced.
Also according to the publication, the format of the series will change to the release of several short films of 60 minutes each, replacing the episodes that were previously released.
