Complementary law may be responsible for the decrease in the price of gasoline
Minister Sachsida's proposals take into account Complementary Law 194/2022, which restricted the imposition of the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) from fuels, electricity, communications and public transport, as well as proposals for diesel with taxation in accordance with the measures discussed in the Supreme Court Federal (STF).
The minister said, during the presentation, that the data may give the impression that the impact of measures on the price of diesel will be minimal, but that this is because federal taxes have already been deleted.
How much is the fuel price?
According to projections, the price of B S-10 diesel oil would go from the current R$ 7.68 to R$ 7.55, which would represent a potential reduction of 1.7% in the national average price. The price of ethanol would drop from R$4.87 to R$4.57, a potential reduction of 6.1%.
According to the data, the average price of cooking gas, also known as LPG, which is currently R$ 112.70, would fall to R$ 110.07, or 2.3%. The minister pointed out that, on a permanent basis, federal taxes on cylinders are zeroed.
Difficulties at Petrobras
Speaking of Petrobras' change of leadership, the minister stated that he believes that "management" is the company's biggest current challenge. He stated that "everyone agrees that there is something wrong" with the oil company's current business strategy.
