This change is already being expected by company administrators, who are aware of the switch from IE11 to Microsoft Edge browser and that visual references to the old browser will also be removed from the Menu Start.

The new preview version will be launched in June, and Microsoft's main justification for making this change is the search for offer a better user experience with Edge and launch a modern platform, compatible with websites and applications on Internet.

This change began in October 2020, when IE11 redirected visited sites that were incompatible with the browser to Microsoft Edge. Among them were high-profile sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, and Twitter.

To make the process easier, user data will be imported into Microsoft Edge. It is certainly not new that Microsoft has been encouraging users to migrate from EI11 to Edge.

Even if Internet Explorer is disabled, IE11 will be available in some versions, namely: Windows 7 SEU, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 LTSC, IoT and Server client versions.

For those unaware of this change, plans to drop IE11 in Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 were announced in August 2020, however, the official announcement that Explorer would end came even in May from 2021.
