Step by step to clean your dog's bed

The ideal is to keep your dog's bed always clean to avoid problems. Even sanitizing this object is much simpler and more practical than you might think. Check the step by step below.

Remove surface dirt

Dust and the numerous amount of hairs on the surface of the bed make it difficult to clean it in depth, in addition to accumulating in the washing machine. In this case, use a cloth, brush or vacuum cleaner to remove excess dirt.

eliminate the stains

If the bed has stains, try to remove them before proceeding with the wash. Use mild detergent or a homemade mixture of baking soda, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, or give preference to more powerful products that exist on the market, such as stain removers specific.

Washing machine

You can wash both the clothes and the bed and some of the dog's toys in the washing machine to make these items heavier. To do this, just adjust the temperature and cycle of the machine according to the manufacturer's guidelines for the material that makes up the animal's bedding.

If you don't want to use the washing machine, do the process manually. Dip the dog bed in a bucket of warm water and neutral detergent or liquid soap, scrub with a soft bristle brush, rinse and compress the object to remove excess water.

Drying

After washing the bed, just place it on a clothesline with direct exposure to sunlight. Let it dry naturally until all the water is removed. Do not use the dryer to avoid damage to your pet's bedding material.
