The decision was taken recently by the current owner. His name is Jacqui Safra and he is a collector. He carbon-dated the Sassoon Codex, stating that the writing/book is the oldest in the world, even older than two other versions that are considered the oldest.
The two other Bibles are called the Aleppo Codex and the Leningrad Codex. It seems that the writing is really very valuable. Who is going to finish it off? auction and keep the holy book? We have no way of knowing, but we hope that the next owner will take very good care of it, as it is an object of considerable spiritual value.
