The “Tycoon of bitcoins“, As he became known, he attended events that were organized by the high society of the federal capital and started to make friends with high-ranking people, such as doctors, lawyers, public servants of the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary, and businessmen very rich.
Thus, since he moved to the Capital of the Republic, he began to increase his range of clients for the coup. After managing to gain the trust of potential clients, Thiago began holding meetings, teaching courses on operations in the financial market, and with his words, he showed his clients that it was possible to make a profit of 3% on the amount they invested in the block of shares in the stock market crypto assets. To prove this profit, Thiago developed a platform that showed the evolution of earnings in real time.
Amidst so many contacts, Thiago found a family where the majority were financial investors. Very friendly and with convincing speeches, the “tycoon” approached the family and began to live with them for months, developing a bond of friendship with the victim and his relatives. The 43-year-old victim claimed that the intimacy was so much that the man even cooked several times at her family home.
Thiago convinced the victim to withdraw all of his financial investments and pass them on to him, with the aim of investing in the same sector of operations used by him. The victim even passed on the passwords of several accounts, and from there the scammer started to control the amounts, which were approximately R$ 1 million. In exchange for that, Thiago informed that this value would yield 3% per month. The victim claims that he even paid some dividends, but that this did not last long and soon stopped.
The victim became suspicious and asked for the capital back, but it was too late. The scammer started to distance himself from the family and made excuses. “We were completely destructured financially and psychologically. This whole situation fell like a bombshell on the family, who believed in Thiago's honesty. He even used his own children to pass on an image of a good person”, vented the victim.
This family was not the only victim, as at least 21 other people fell for the tycoon's scam. Some invested BRL 100 thousand, others BRL 500 thousand and there were even those who invested more than BRL 1 million. There were people who sold companies to invest in the swindler's business.
Victims report that they even received some income, but that payments soon began to delay, until they no longer received anything. From then on, suspicions began, but it was too late.
After the business began to unravel, the victims began to collect money from Thiago, but he was never seen or found again. Several people tried to contact him through the phone he passed, but the calls were not answered. Thus, the search for this deadbeat continues.
