Telescope identifies a cluster of stars in the universe

O universe it tends to be fascinating for many reasons, one of which is to keep many curiosities and many things that are still unknown. It has existed for at least 13 billion years and is acclaimed for its immensity. Recently, a telescope identified a cluster of stars in the universe and you should stay in the loop if everything.

It's nothing new that the universe is so big that we hardly know what it hides. We can only look at the magnitudes of the universe through telescopes. The Milky Way has a spiral shape and its diameter is on the order of 100,000 light-years.

It was in this way that, joining the James Webb Space Telescope of the NASA and using a tool for magnifying nature, the gravitational lens, specialists were able to look at the formation of galaxies whose universe was less than 1 billion years old.

If you don't know, gravitational lensing is an effect of which your light bends in massive objects like black holes or even clusters of galaxies. It takes full advantage of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 and is 4.64.6 billion light-years from Earth.

The image shows several of these lensed background galaxies, the oldest image being around 13 billion years old. Astronomers believe that the galaxy formed about 680 million years after the Big Bang.

By analyzing ancient galaxies, astronomers found a cluster of stars, which would be a kind of galactic embryos, which show what are the early stages of galaxy formation and how they grew and evolved in the first few hundred million years after the universe.

Through the images, the telescope showed that it is possible to detect small structures that are hidden in galaxies and are very distant. Clusters can be seen in many of these galaxies.

This was a discovery that caught the attention of astronomers who only came to the conclusion of what they already knew: the universe is gigantic and there is still a lot hidden and that needs to be explored.
