Uber Moto arrived in Brazil in November 2020, more precisely in Aracaju (SE). This pattern has been developing rapidly and has appeared in several cities in the Northeast, Southeast and South regions of the country.
Today, in at least 20 cities in the North and Northeast, partner motorcyclists are already available, and trips may start in some of the new cities in the coming weeks.
More affordable than cars
The biggest appeal of the model is that it turns out to be cheaper and more accessible than the app's car travel option. It can also be said that this approach is especially indicated for short trips, such as the bus station or points of buses, to support public transport passengers, according to the company's communication director, Fábio Sabba.
Guaranteed safety for drivers and passengers
The company highlights (as an attraction) that it offers insurance against personal accidents, covering passengers and motorcyclists. In addition, drivers also have access to educational content on road safety.
There are also coronavirus prevention protocols, which include cleaning hands and motorcycle surfaces with gel alcohol. Uber recommends that passengers use their own helmets, or that riders use products specific to sanitizing additional helmets and provide disposable caps that are more hygienic.
BRL 1 thousand for nominations
Uber needs more riders to carry out its expansion plan in more Brazilian cities. Therefore, those who refer employees to the company will be rewarded with a cash value.
Those who already use the platform can earn up to R$ 1 thousand. For more information, open the Uber Driver app and select “Directions” from the menu. To work at Uber Moto, you must have a CNH with category A and observe paid activity, known as EAR (Exerce Remunerated Activity).
