Ingredients
for the cake
- 2 cups of wheat flour (sifted)
- 1 cup (tea) sugar + 1 tablespoon
- 180 ml of milk
- 50 ml of oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
for the syrup
- 1 glass of coconut milk with 200 ml
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 450 ml of milk
- 100 g grated or flaked coconut
- 4 tablespoons (tablespoons) sugar
Method of preparation

- In a mixer, add the eggs and sugar, then mix for 2 to 3 minutes. They will form a voluminous, light and slightly creamy cream.
- Then add the flour, half the milk and the oil, mixing gently with a whisk.
- Add what's left of the flour, milk and incorporate little by little.
- At that moment put the baking soda and mix gently.
- In an already greased shape, pour the mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cut it into squares, so that the syrup moistens better.
Syrup
- In a pan, put the milk, condensed milk, coconut milk, grated coconut, or in flakes, and sugar.
- Take to the high fire and, after boiling, leave for 3 minutes.
- Pour the still hot syrup over the cake until it is completely moistened.
