WhatsApp changes: check out what they are
WhatsApp is planning to introduce some important changes that will bring more security to its users. According to the company, it is working on an extra layer of protection, which consists of logging in before entering your account.
In addition, now you can select the contacts you want to see their more detailed information, such as profile picture and description. Already the last seen control is a feature that has been modified since November 2021, to be perfected as much as possible.
What will happen to the hidden data?
Prior to this update, anyone could have access to specific details of your account. However, restricting this information to only people of interest can make WhatsApp use much safer. By activating this restriction, you would not have to worry about the rest of your contacts as none of them would gain access to this information.
However, in that respect, by restricting your Last Seen status to a certain person, you will also not be able to access that person's status. In other words, it is a path that works both ways.
To find out if your cell phone already contains the new updated version, just access the WhatsApp settings. On this tab, select Account and then Privacy.
To activate the new update for the profile picture, for example, click on the Picture and a new entry will appear that says “My contacts except”. In this update, you will select the people you want to see your profile picture.
