Elon Musk, co-founder of OpenAI warns of dangers of AI for humanity

Several scientists and experts warn about the possible negative effects of artificial intelligence if it is not used properly. One of the personalities that warns of this is the technology billionaire Elon Musk. According to him, AI is "one of the biggest risks to the future of civilization is," Musk told attendees at the conference. He is known for his contributions to technology, especially as founder, CEO and CTO of SpaceX; co-founder, CEO and executive producer of Tesla Motors; and chairman of SolarCity's board of directors. He is also the creator of other startups like The Boring Company, Neuralink and OpenAI. Musk is also CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors. In addition, he has been leading AI research to develop advanced algorithms for automating Tesla vehicles.

According to Musk, ChatGPT “illustrated for people how advanced AI has become. AI has been advanced for a while. It just didn't have an accessible user interface for most people.” He adds: "While cars, planes and medicine must comply with regulatory safety standards, AI does not yet have rules or regulations that keep its development in check.”

This is because with the rise of ChatGPT, many people see a threat in bringing down the job market with more advanced, human-like writing. The entrepreneur left OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT) in 2018 and no longer has a stake in the company.

“Initially, it was created as an open source non-profit organization. It is now closed source and for profit. I do not have an open membership in OpenAI, nor am I on the board, nor do I control it in any way.”
