For all these reasons, investing in education is investing in the future, as an educated population is capable of facing challenges, making decisive decisions and building a prosperous and sustainable nation.

When youth does not go through this important process of education, offered through school, the future becomes worrisome.

Brazil is highlighted in the OECD report “Education at a Glance 2022” for having the second largest percentage of young people aged 18 to 24 who are not involved in study activities or work.

This information reveals a significant challenge for the country in relation to the inclusion of these young people in the educational system and in the labor market.

With a contingent of 49 million people between the ages of 15 and 29, this portion represents a significant number, greater than the population of Portugal.

The OECD is an organization that encompasses 38 member countries and released this data last year.
