The newspaper Jerusalem Post states that the site of Tell El Deir, where the tombs were found, was used to bury dead from different eras. From the 26th dynasty and then into the eras of Greek, Roman and Byzantine rule. Furthermore, Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities recorded the find in a post on Facebook.
The tombs are of different sizes and are richly decorated and contain important information about the history and culture of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
